Our Story

Magic Willows Alpacas started as a 4H project with 4 apacas on a 3 acre lot in a rural subdivision near Merton, WI. Once we got too many alpacas for 3 acres, we moved to a 13 acre farm located about 2 miles north of Hartford, WI just east of Hwy 83 (County Rd. R). Currenty, we have 37 Suri alpacas, 4 Huacayas and 1 llama named Trouble. We raise Suri alpacas for their fine, ultra-soft fiber which is used to make a variety of products from yarns, socks and knitted items to stuffed animals and very durable rugs. Alpaca fiber is hypoallergenic, water and odor resistant and versatile. You can visit our alpacas, chickens, ducks, peacocks, and angora rabbits any time the Farm Store is open; Becky and Tom are happy to guide you on an impromptu tour and answer all your questions. We do not charge for family tours but do appreciate donations or a purchase from our Farm Store. We are also open for group field trips for a nominal fee.
Our Farm Store features alpaca products including yarn, socks, scarves and hats as well as farm related gifts and decor. We also sell local honey, maple syrup, handmade goat milk soaps and lotions, chicken and duck eggs, stewing chickens and whole roasting chickens. Fresh turkeys are available for your Thanksgiving dinner as well. Our products are a combination of local, handmade, made in the U.S., and Fair Trade imports from Peru (home of alpacas and llamas). It’s a great place to find unique gifts or a special alpaca treat for yourself.
